cacao

The brown/grey liquid inside this earthenware bowl is a Oaxacan delicacy called tejate, a prehispanic drink made from cacao and maize paste. It tastes something like a semi sweet watery chocolate milk and really refreshing on a hot summer day.

  1. >it's delicious, i don't have a recipe, been looking for one actually. i'f i fine a good one i'll definitely post. have you ever had tepache? i've made it before, a fermented pineapple, and so very very good.
