the hills are alive

During Central Mexico’s rainy season, the hills come alive with the color purple, the reason is a flower called Flor Sylvestre (wild flower) which is akin to a purple petaled daisy. They smell sweet and innocent with a touch of honey. It’s a sight to see while taking a drive, but to stop and run through them as though you were Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music, well thats just another thing entirely. If you can, pick a bunch and take them home, they’ll last about a week with water and will brighten up any old table.
